A balance between work and family life is important including when you are a work at home mom, which may not be as easy as it sounds.
You have the benefits of being at home with your children, but how do you balance this with work and stay focused on what you are doing? Not only are you thinking of what you have to do next for the children, but there is the dreaded chore of housework and meals to make.
It takes a lot of self-discipline.
The first tip for managing your time is to make a plan, including goals that you have set for yourself. It is recommended that you make daily and weekly goals. Planning ahead is imperative in order to work efficiently. Your plan should be specific for instance, planning to spend five hours per day working; planning to call eight to ten clients; and planning the hours during which you will spend quality time with your children. Once each goal in your plan is accomplished, check it off so that you know it is completed and you can focus on the next task at hand.
Another tip is to write down your goals, so they are easier to remember and follow. Use a journal, calendar, or day planner, whatever you choose. A calendar might be good for writing your day-to-day goals and a journal for writing extra notes to yourself. Another example is to put your goal in both your journal and on your calendar so you have two reminders. Keep your journal nearby and refer to it often. If you have a long list of things to do in one day, you should decide which is most important, do it first and focus on it entirely. Do not worry about the next task until each one is completed so that you don't get overwhelmed. Make sure your plan for the day is not so full that you don't have time to complete it and spend quality time with your children.

Registering a Business
The next step to having your own business is to get registered. Let's use the analogy of having your own jewellery business. You should do something you enjoy, whatever that may be.
For me it is helping others with their businesses and recommending leadership training and master marketing.
So back to jewellery, if you want to register you should pick a unique name and be sure it is one that is not too long so that it can be remembered and it will stand out in people's minds.
Are you aware, however, that you don't even have to register a business if you plan to use your very own name? If you add any words onto your name though, it must be registered.
If you need help with registering please ask me. Registering can be easily done online, just be sure you are using a reputable site and yo uprint out the copies of the registration for future reference.

Do You Want to Work at Home?
Do you work away from home?
When you work away from home it can be hectic with the commute each day and the long hours, but even more difficult is being away from your children day in and day out.
Whether your child is younger or older it is important to be able to spend quality time and quantity time with them. With a young child it is important to see them through the unique stages of development from crawling to walking and babbling to talking. Many Moms have regreted being away from their children at such young ages, but sometimes there is no choice.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like working from home and not having to rush your young child off to daycare or struggle in that bumper to bumper commute?
It is possible to work from home and you can even have your own business. As an example let's take a jewellery business. Let's say you love making jewellery and your pieces are quite unique. Although it is a competitive business you think you can make a go of it.
Then while you are still working I suggest preparing yourself slowly to be at home. Start making jewellery at night when you get home, so that you have something started. You might even decide to cut down your hours at work so that you have more time at home, but you still have an income.
Once you get more established at home you can gradually reduce your hours. By doing this you are slowly increasing the time you can spend with your family.
Another option is to try network marketing. This is convenient, because you don't have to make new products, the products are already available for you and established. You should do your research when choosing a company, however, and I can help you with this, as I have been in the industry for some years now.
